Due to a family emergency, Mary's Blues Hall of Fame induction has been postponed. Please check back later for the new date. Mary has provided an invaluable resource to the Blues community over the last 4 years and is very deserving of this recognition. It's all about preserving the history and heritage of the Blues and keeping it alive.

The purpose of this website is to provide a means to preserve the history of the Blues through photography. In the picture gallery, you will find an assortment of photos of Blues artists. Part of the site (the older albums) contain "the good, the bad, and the ugly" because it originally started out to be a place where Blues artists could go to download pictures for their MySpace pages, websites, etc. In some cases, the artists wanted blurred pictures or something that would be considered substandard. So we put everything up.

We recently started pulling out the not-so-good pictures, and we intend to provide a means for the artists to log in to see all their pictures while still providing the general public access to what we consider the best pictures.

As always, I would like to thank all of the Blues club owners and other club owners for allowing me to take pictures in your establishments. Without you I would not be able to do any of what I do, and I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Second, I would like to thank all of the Blues artists and artists of every genre that have let me photograph you over the last few years. Without you there would obviously be no pictures to take, so thank you. I would also like to thank those of you that have purchased my pictures, business cards, promo materials, websites, CD cover designs and done business with Hampton-Photos.com.

This site is dedicated to the memory of Jan from Riverdale Marina. Without her encouragement, I never would have realized that I have an "eye" for live performance photography. Thanks, Jan.
